Grinnell men's tennis team wraps up successful journey to ITA Regional Championships/Midwest Open

ST. PETER, Minn. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team continued its successful journey to the ITA Midwest Regional Championship and Midwest Open over the weekend.

Two Grinnell entries advanced to the round of 16 on Saturday. Wilder Cooke '25 posted a 6-2, 6-2 decision in the round of 32 before losing a 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 marathon in the next round. Karch Knoll '25, Henry Park '28 and Aiden Klass '25 had made it to the round of 32, as well.

Lucas Willett '26 and Klass won 8-4 to advance to the round of 16 in doubles, where they lost a close 8-7 decision.

Grinnell also had several entries in the Midwest Open, which was highlighted by a B Doubles title by Aman Kothari '28 and Alex Doane '28. The duo reeled off six consecutive victories, ending with a 6-4, 6-2 decision over a squad from Gustavus Adolphus College.

In the Midwest Open, Juan Diego Carpio '28 and Kaan McDonald '28 each made it to the C Singles semifinals and Caden Branum '28 made the B singles quarterfinals.
