Pioneer men's swimming and diving team keeps perfect dual meet mark intact

Grinnell cruises to easy victory over Macalester

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Grinnell College's men's swimming and diving squad remained unbeaten in dual meets this season with a 181-104 victory at Macalester College Saturday.

Rommin Adl '26 was a part of three event victories, winning the 100-yard backstroke in 52.26 seconds, 100 freestyle in 46.93 and swimming on the first-place 200 medley relay team that finished in 1:35.51. Others on that squad were Chris Zhou '27, Evan Feilmeyer '28 and Aidan Donovan '28.

Other champs for Grinnell were Noah Tsukuda '27 in the 200 and 500 freestyles (1:47.72 and 4:53.71, respectively), John Kafumbe '28 in the 1650 freestyle (17:12.46), Feilmeyer in the 200 butterfly (2:00.73), Donovan in the 50 freestyle (21.54), Cadel Saszik '28 in the 200 backstroke (1:57.09) and Kevin Fitzgerald '25 in the 200 individual medley (2:02.26).

Individual runners-up for Grinnell were Hayden Devorsetz in 1- and 3-meter diving (202.55 and 331.70 points), Antoni Staszkiewicz '27 in the 1650 freestyle (17:13.87), Fitzgerald in the 200 freestyle (1:48.87), Sam Larsen '25 in the 100 and 200 backstrokes (53.11 and 1:57.66), Zhou in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.16), Adam Feilmeyer '25 in the 50 freestyle (22.00), Evan Feilmeyer in the 500 freestyle (4:59.76) and Donovan in the 100 butterfly (55.41).

Grinnell was also second in the 200 freestyle relay with Donovan, Adam Feilmeyer, Jafar Jarrar '27 and Adl. Their time was 1:26.47.
