MONMOUTH, Ill. – Grinnell College's track and field teams have enjoyed considerable success this season, something they'll look to continue this weekend at the 2025 Midwest Conference Indoor Championships.
The meet, hosted by Monmouth College, begins at 1 p.m. Friday with field events. Running events start at 2:45 p.m. The meet continues at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with field events, with running kicking in at noon.
Grinnell's women hold down top MWC rankings by
Hannah Roark '26 in the 3000-meter run,
Rajanea Landers' 28 in the triple jump and the sprint medley relay team. Roark is second in the 800 and fourth in the 800, while
Tennyson Shultz '28 is fifth in the 800.
Lily Mayo '28 is third in the high jump and fifth in the long jump,
Genevieve Madigan '28 is ranked fourth in the 5000 and
Hannah Roth '27 and
Kylie Galowitz '26 are fifth in the 3000 and shot put, respectively. Grinnell is ranked second in the 4x200, 4x400 and distance medley relays.
On the men's side, Grinnell is ranked second in the sprint medley and distance medley relays. Holding No. 3 rankings are
Luke Robinson '26 (mile),
Jack Novelle '26 (high jump) and
Ian Clawson '26 (weight throw), while athletes ranked fifth are
Jake Logue '28 in the 60,
Ilem Leisher '27 in the 60 hurdles and
Jesse Miller '28 in the long jump. Also fifth is the Pioneers' 4x200 relay team.
The MWC Track & Field Championships and MWC Men's Basketball Tournament will be at Monmouth this weekend (Fri & Sat)! Admission $5 adults, $2 Kids 17 & under. All current MWC Students/Faculty FREE with valid school ID. One admission gets you into both events. CASH ONLY.
