Pioneer men's tennis team posts yet another victory via shutout

WINONA, Minn. - Grinnell College's men's tennis team stepped out of league play Sunday by shutting down the University of Wisconsin-Superior by a 7-0 score.

The 8-10 Pioneers, who have won via shutout their last four matches, swept doubles play with the duos of Aiden Klass '25-Lucas Willett '26 (6-1), Luka Shaker-Check '25-Sam Rudenberg '25 (6-4) and Albert Bostoen '26-Karch Knoll '25 (7-6).

Grinnell kept it up in singles with wins by Wilder Cooke '25 (7-5, 7-6), Willett (6-0, 3-0, retired), Knoll (6-2, 6-2), Klass (6-2, 6-1), Rudenberg (6-0, 6-0) and Shaker-Check (6-1, 6-2). Rudenberg now ranks 25th in program history with 51 singles victories.

Grinnell has a big weekend approaching, hitting the road to face Lake Forest College Saturday in a key Midwest Conference match and then facing the University of Chicago on Sunday.
