Pioneer men's tennis team to square off against Kalamzoo at NCAA D-III Tourney

WHITEWATER, Wis. – It will be business as usual for the Grinnell College men's tennis team this weekend as the Pioneers head to their 18th consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament.
 
The Pioneers will be in Whitewater, Wis., to meet up with Kalamazoo College in the opening round Friday. Match time is 10 a.m.
 
Grinnell, which has won 21 Midwest Conference Tourney crowns in a row and 22 overall, will bring a No. 62 national ranking and 13-12 record into the event.
 
Kalamazoo, 15-5 overall, is ranked 58th at the NCAA D-III level. The Hornets advanced to nationals by winning the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tourney title.
 
Friday's winner will take on the University of Chicago at 10 a.m. Saturday. On the other side of the bracket, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater faces Luther College in the first round Friday. That winner will play Gustavus Adolphus College.
