GRINNELL – Grinnell College has hired Zachary Beyer as its new Facilities and Equipment Manager.

Beyer comes from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., where he served as Equipment Manager since 2023. He brings a wealth of experience in ordering equipment and apparel, inventory management and distribution of team gear, as well as many other aspects of the job.

Originally from Appleton, Wis., Beyer graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and Marketing. He was a member of the college's track and field team and helped create a Sports Management Club on campus.

Beyer interned with the Wausau Woodchucks baseball club for a summer, serving as Equipment Manager and assisting with game day operations.

He lives with his wife, Jessica, and cat, Mona.

"In this role, Zachary will oversee the Equipment Room and support the daily operational needs of our facilities. With his valuable experience from South Dakota State University, we are confident he will bring the expertise and leadership needed to support our evolving initiatives.
