Pioneers have 4 swimmers earn CSCAA Scholar All-America honors

Fitzgerald and Feilmeyer are 1st-team picks, while Carroll and Lopez are 2nd-teamers

GRINNELL, Iowa - Grinnell College's swimming and diving teams had their most individual Scholar All-Americans in more than a decade as four Pioneers were recently honored.

Kevin Fitzgerald '25 and Evan Feilmeyer '28 were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America first team for the 2024-25 season, while Sophia Carroll '25 and Sarah Lopez '26 were second-team picks.

To qualify for first-team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-team selections must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

Fitzgerald was a second-team selection last year, while the other three earned honors for the first time in 2024-25.
