GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College's women's soccer team has been picked to finish among the Midwest Conference's elite in balloting by league coaches.
 
The Pioneers were tabbed for third place with 50 voting points. Lake Forest College was predicted to edge Lawrence University for the title, 61-60. Lake Forest received five first-place votes and the Vikings had four.
 
Illinois College was picked a distant fourth behind Grinnell with 36 points and Ripon College is fifth with 30.
