Pioneer women's soccer team drops contest at unbeaten UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. - A tough test awaited the Grinnell College women's soccer team in its second match in as many days Saturday afternoon.

The Pioneers, battling unbeaten University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, fell behind 3-0 at the half as the hosts came away with a 4-0 victory.

Grinnell (0-3-1) posted four shots in the contest, with Teya Lochridge '29 recording two and Sarah Travis '27 and Campbell Swaim '28 recording one apiece. 

Peyton Dixon '27 recorded 15 saves for Grinnell, a figure that ranks fourth in program history and the most for the Pioneers in two seasons.

Katelyn Stuedebaker had two goals for UW-La Crosse (4-0).

Grinnell is on the road once more next weekend with a game at Benedictine University. Action in Lisle, Ill., begins at 11:30 a.m.
