GRINNELL, Iowa - The Grinnell College softball team saw a late comeback fall short in a 7-4 setback to Augustana College Tuesday afternoon at the Softball Complex.

Trani also pitched a complete game, getting stronger as the contest went on by yielding just four hits in the final four innings.

Grinnell (8-24) got on the board in the fourth inning on Kala Bisterfeldt's '28 RBI single to right, and added two more runs in the fifth on a triple to right-center by Araujo and single through the right side from Kayla O'Malley '28. In the seventh, Trani belted an RBI double to center.

Augustana (12-15) scored in all five innings on its way to completing the sweep by winning the second game 12-1. O'Malley led the GC offense with two hits and the Pioneers' run came via Elyse Pender's '27 RBI single to left in the bottom of the fifth.
