Graduated from Wheaton North High School, where he participated in football, basketball, baseball and rugby … was special mention All-Conference defensive captain in football, as well as winner of the Coach Rexilius Proper State of Mind Award while playing for conference championship team and being the second-leading tackler … won ACE Award in basketball and played for state champs in rugby … aside from athletics, was a member of the National Honor Society, Math Honor Society, Social Studies Honor Society and won the Robert J. Miller Memorial Award and Bill Neibich Leadership Award.
