Graduated from Argenta-Oreana High School, where he participated in basketball and cross country … was IHSA All-State Academic Team honorable mention, Little Okaw Valley Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, two-time All-Conference in basketball, basketball team captain as a senior, LOVC vs. NTC All-Star and played for 2016 Macon County champions … aside from athletics, was four-year class president, Illinois State Scholar, Student Council co-president, National Honor Society vice president, two-time IHSSBCA All-State Scholastic Bowl team, IMEA All-State Orchestra participant, IMEA All-District band for four years, High Honor Roll for four years, three-time All-Conference Scholastic Bowl, American Legion Boy's State representative and class Salutatorian.
