Chris Stout joined the Grinnell College baseball staff in 2020.
Before coming to Grinnell, Stout coached two years at Marietta College in Ohio. Other coaching stops included North Carolina Wesleyan College for two years, White Sands Pupfish of the Independent Professional Baseball League for two years, North Pitt High School in North Carolina for two years and Nevada High School in Iowa for five years.
This past summer, he coached the Licking County Settlers of the Great Lakes League to a South Division championship.
Stouth played professionally for the Pupfish as well as Marshalltown Community College and Ashford University at the collegiate level. He obtained his AA degree from Marshalltown and bachelor's degree from North Carolina Wesleyan.
Stout, who graduated from Nevada High School, lives in Nevada with his wife Alyssa, daughter Atley and dogs Arley and Eli.
