Colin Gisel is beginning his sixth year with the Pioneers and works with the outfielders.
He also teaches and serves as head baseball coach at Brooklyn-Guernsey-Malcom high school. Gisel has been an assistant baseball and basketball coach at various levels throughout his career. He began his baseball coaching career at Central Clinton High School,
where he worked with outfielders and as a base running coach for two seasons.
Gisel played at Maquoketa High School from 2003–07 and played semipro for the Peosta Cubs in the Prairie League 2008–11.
He received his B.A. from Coe College, majoring in business administration, completed his Iowa teaching license in 2011, and received an M.B A. from Upper Iowa University in 2014.
