This is Frank Fishler’s sixth season with Grinnell as a volunteer coach, and he has brought 27 years of prior coaching experience to the Pioneers program.
Fishler recently served as the interim head coach at Mount Mercy College, where he was an assistant for five seasons. He also was the head coach at Midwest Conference rival Cornell College for eight years and coached the Rams to seven of their 10 best records in school history.
Fishler was also head baseball coach for eight seasons at Midland High School in Wyoming, Iowa, and assisted his alma mater, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, for two seasons.
During his time at Cornell, he was an assistant football coach and an instructor in the physical education department.
He and his wife Meg reside in Mount Vernon, Iowa, with their son, Gunnar.
