    Assistant Baseball Coach
Sean Pfeiffer joined Grinnell College's baseball staff in January 2024.
 
Pfeiffer joins the Pioneers after serving as pitching coach for the Chicago Warriors club team as well as head junior varsity baseball coach/pitching coach at Lane Tech High School.
 
He coached Lane Tech to multiple Chicago Public League JV titles and twice was named Coach of the Year.
 
He has a variety of other professional experience, holding roles as resource coordinator at Spry Community Links High School, mental health clinician at Envision Unlimited, regional manager for Hot Shots Sports and director of community programs for the Pullman Community Center.
 
A graduate and former player at Lane Tech, Pfeiffer earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Northern Illinois University.
 
“I’m excited to have Sean join our coaching staff,” said Grinnell coach Tim Hollibaugh. “Throughout the interview process, his willingness to develop individual pitching plans and work with technology will assist our pitching staff develop and grow.  He will also be an invaluable asset on the road recruiting to help us continue to attract some of the best and brightest baseball student-athletes from around the country.”
