Background:
Born in San Diego, Calif. … son of Michael and Sally Kay McNitt … has two siblings, Kaylee and Allanne McNitt.
 
High School:
Played baseball in high school, where he was Gainesville Sun All-Area second team and honorable mention, Defensive MVP and Teammate of the Year … hit .300 and fielded .992 … aside from athletics, was a member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society, top 10 percent of class and won English Department and Environmental Science Department Awards.
