Born in Hartford, Connecticut … son of Melanie and Jonathan Tinkham … has two siblings, Kelly and Zach.

High School:
Attended Newington High School where he participated in baseball, basketball, and football … was a 4 year baseball starter, named team MVP … received three varsity letters in basketball and football … aside from athletics,  was a CAPT Scholar and on the High Honor Roll.

College:
2014: ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Third-Team selection ... Midwest Conference South Divison Pitcher of the Year ... All-MWC First-Team selection.
