Chris Ator was named assistant football coach at Grinnell in July 2018 and is in charge of quarterbacks.
Ator played quarterback at the NCAA Division III level for both Benedictine University and Millikin University. He graduated from Millikin in 2016 with a degree in sports management and minor in digital media marketing.
Previously, Ator was the wide receivers coach at the University of Chicago for the past two seasons where he was part of an offensive staff that helped the Maroons break 36 program records in 2016 and was the No. 4 ranked passing offense in Division III. Along with that, he was the position coach for the UAA 2016 Rookie of the Year.
