Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Backs)
Eddie Arias joined the Grinnell College football staff in the summer of 2021.
Arias is from Morgan Hill, Calif., and attended the University of Dubuque where he was a four-year football letter winner while playing strong safety. He went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from the University of Northern Iowa and gained his master’s degree in sports management from Louisiana State University.
Arias has nine years of coaching experience. As a coach at Gavilan College, he helped the team establish the second-best junior college defense in California. He also served at Cornell College, Independence High School and Grinnell High School.
Arias and his wife, Jenica, have three children – Kyla, Kensley and Emery.
