Kevin Stensrud joined Grinnell as a volunteer offensive line coach in 2018. After graduating from Lake Mills High School, he was a four-year starter at deep snapper and 3-1/2 year starter at defensive tackle at the University of Northern Iowa. He was an All-Conference performer, special teams MVP and captain for the 2005 team that finished as the national runner-up.

Following college, Stensrud spent time in training camp with the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs. His father, Mike Stensrud, enjoyed an 11-year NFL career and his brother, Andy Stensrud, played in the CFL and NFL Europe.

Stensrud is married to Rachael Tink Stensrud, who was an All-Conference volleyball performer at UNI. She is a mental health therapist at Davis Psychology in Grinnell. They have three children, Reagan, Peyton and Lincoln.
