Born in Temple, Tex … son of Craig and Maggy … has two siblings, Nick and Marla.
 
High School:
Graduated from Goldthwaite High School where he participated in football, track & field, and baseball … was an All-Conference catcher in baseball, and awarded Academic All-Conference … was an All-Conference quarterback and team captain … aside from athletics, was Salutatorian, won the Top Economics Student Award, Top Agribusiness Student Award, was Student Council Vice President, Class Vice President, Grand Champion Science Fair, on the Honor Roll, and a member of National Honors Society.
