Personal: 
Born in Atlanta, GA to Toni and Reginald Bynum Sr. Has one sibling, Ambrea. Graduated from Wesleyan School in Stone Mountain, GA in 2015. 

High School: 
While playing and participating in Basketball, Track and Field, and Lacrosse, he was a three-year letter winner for the Wesleyan School, was elected team captain his senior year, nominated as Player of the Week for his game winning shot over Athens Academy, selected as Player of the Month for Gwinnett County in January, and was awarded with the All-Tournament Award for Battle of the South AAU tournament. He averaged 18 points a game for his club the DeKalb Eagles, averaged 10 points a game his junior year of high school, and he led his team in assists and free throw percentage.

In addition to athletics, he was a member of National Society of High School Scholars, a member of the Duke TIP program, was chosen to participate in a mission trip to South America. He also received an Academic Achievement Award his junior ear, was chosen as an Ambassador for the Wesleyan School, and attained Merit List Honors all four years of high school.
