Grinnell College Athletics

Maria Venneri ’18, from Los Alamos, N.M. (Los Alamos), beat the Grinnell school record in the 200-yard backstroke during a 154-72 dual meet victory at Loras College Saturday.
 
Venneri won the event in 2:10.74, topping the previous mark of 2:10.83 established last season.
 
Venneri also swam on the winning 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:54.73, and took second behind teammate and national qualifier Hayley Levin ’16 in the 400 individual medley in 4:59.99.
