Grinnell College’s Julian Marx ’17 has been named the Midwest Conference Men’s Basketball Performer of the Week.
Marx, a 6-0 guard from Miami, Fla. (Ransom Everglades School), continued his impressive season while leading Grinnell to two wins in the past week, boosting the Pioneers to 4-0 in the MWC and 7-2 overall.
The sharp-shooter drained 9-of-17 tries from 3-point land and had 27 points as the Pioneers raced past Cornell College 119-99. He followed that with a 30-point performance, making 8-of-18 3-pointers, as Grinnell defeated Lawrence University 133-125.
Marx ranks fourth in the nation in scoring with 29.5 points per game and is the leader in 3-pointers with 6.75 an outing.
