Grinnell College Athletics

Sam Stickels ’19, from Fairfield, Iowa (Maharishi School), was a perfect 4-for-4 as the Pioneers shut out a pair of Midwest Conference foes in Ripon College and Lake Forest College to remain unbeaten in league play. Competing at No. 1 singles and doubles against Ripon, he won 6-1, 6-1 in singles and 8-0 with Raghu Inturi ’20 in doubles. Stickels then won 7-6, 6-4 at No. 2 singles against Lake Forest and 9-7 with Inturi at No. 2 doubles. Grinnell has now won 78 matches in a row in league play and 130 consecutive against MWC foes overall.
