Grinnell College's Andrew Shults '19 has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Central Region Team for the 2017 season.
Shults, a center fielder from South Pasadena, Calif. (South Pasadena), was a third-team selection. A first-team All-Midwest Conference South Division pick, he broke Grinnell's record for sacrifices in a season with 11 and tied for the fielding percentage mark with a perfect 1.000.
He led the league in those categories as well as stolen bases with 17. Additionally, Shults ranked third in the MWC in batting average (.403) and hits (58), was fourth in runs scored (37) and triples (two) and sixth in on-base percentage (.470).
