Nina Kouchi '22 sparked a record-breaking weekend for the Grinnell College women's golf team, and has been rewarded by being named the Midwest Conference Performer of the Week.

Kouchi, from Charlotte, N.C. (Providence), was nothing short of stellar while winning the 93-golfer Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic. Her round of 3-under-par 69 Sunday broke Grinnell's school record for a single round as she had a two-day total of 3-under-par 141. The two-day mark ranks second in program history. Her efforts helped Grinnell to a two-day school-record score of 604 as the Pioneers finished second at the meet, defeating three nationally-ranked teams in DePauw (ranked 11th), Illinois Wesleyan (15th) and UW-Whitewater (25th).
