Nina Kouchi recently won the G. Lester Duke '25 Award for outstanding first-year athlete in an individual sport. She will extend an already stellar women's golf season when she and the Pioneers compete in the NCAA Division III National Championships in Houston, Texas. Kouchi's season stroke average of 76.4 ranks fifth in Grinnell history and has helped the Pioneers to a No. 3 national ranking. She has one tourney win and five top five finishes.
