Paige Olowu ’22, from Minneapolis, Minn. (Breck School), was named Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week. Olowu shattered two school records at the Grinnell Holiday Triangular, breaking marks in the long jump and 60-meter dash. She won the 60 in 8.06 seconds, breaking her previous school record by a hundredth of a second, and took the long jump title with a leap of 17 feet, 6-1/4 inches to beat the previous best of 17-4 ¾ established in 2013 by Eloise Miller. Olowu also ran on the winning 4x200 relay team that finished in 1:50.93, the fifth-best clocking in Grinnell history. All three of the marks in which Olowu was involved are best in the MWC this season. Olowu ranks 19th nationally in the long jump and 40th in the 60.
