For the second time this season, Grinnell College’s Christin Hartman ’24 has been named the Midwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

Hartman, from Bettendorf, Iowa (Pleasant Valley), recorded her first collegiate shutout Saturday against MWC preseason favorite Lake Forest College. Hartman gave up just two hits and struck out three batters in the 3-0 victory, just Grinnell’s second shutout of the Foresters in program history. Grinnell improved to 6-0 in the MWC, its best start ever in league play.
