Box Score RIPON, Wis. – The Grinnell College volleyball team lost its Midwest Conference opener Friday night, falling 25-11, 25-20 and 25-9 to Ripon College.
 
Claire Weidman '15 had nine kills for the Pioneers, while Margaret Giles '18 added 16 assists. Lindsay Fujimoto '15 had eight digs and Giles seven. Evelyn Weidman '17 had two blocks.
 
Grinnell is now 0-1 in the MWC and 5-13 overall, while Ripon moved to 1-0 in the league and 11-7 overall.
 
The Pioneers play at Carroll University on Saturday.
