Box Score WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Grinnell College volleyball team lost a hard-fought 3-2 match to Carroll University Saturday afternoon.
Set scores, in favor of the winners, were 25-23, 24-26, 22-25, 26-24 and 15-11.
Claire Weidman '15 had 14 kills for Grinnell and
Natalie Duncombe '15 added 12.
Margaret Giles '18 tallied 40 assists and Weidman served up five aces and had 17 digs.
Lindsay Fujimoto '15 added 24 digs and
Evelyn Weidman '17 had six total blocks.
In the second set, Grinnell finished off the win with a kill by
Claire Weidman and service point by Giles. Set three was tied 21-all before Duncombe delivered two kills and
Sarah Garringer '18 one to help secure the win.
Grinnell, 5-14 overall and 0-2 in the Midwest Conference, hosts St. Norbert College Friday night at Darby Gymnasium.
