Pioneer men's basketball team falls to Cornell

Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The Grinnell College men's basketball team lost a hard-fought 116-110 decision to Cornell College Wednesday night.

Jack Taylor '15 scored 37 points for the Pioneers, who are 5-5 in the Midwest Conference and 7-8 in all games.

Braedon Bayer '18 added 22 points, Luke Yeager '15 scored 15 and Tague Zachary '15 scored 13.

Zachary also grabbed six rebounds, Julian Marx '17 dished out four assists and Jacob Ekstrand '18 had four steals.

Cornell, 4-7 in the MWC and 5-11 overall, led 53-46 at halftime.

Grinnell entertains Beloit College Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m. at Darby Gymnasium.
