GRINNELL, Iowa – Wartburg College used a late rally to defeat the Grinnell College men's basketball team 105-91 Tuesday night at Darby Gymnasium.
Kyle Parker had the hot hand for Grinnell, draining 9-of-15 3-pointers en route to scoring 28 points.
Julian Marx was also in double figures with 10.
Vinny Curta dished out five assists, while
Ky-Sean Johnson,
Braedon Bayer and
Nathan Balcom all had two steals.
Grinnell led 58-51 at halftime before Wartburg rallied. The contest was close down the stretch and tied at 83-all when Parker hit a 3-pointer while being fouled. He added the free throw for an 87-83 lead with just over six minutes left.
However, the 1-0 Knights went on a 12-point run and pulled away for the win.
Grinnell, 2-1, hosts Colorado College at noon Sunday.
