MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – Nate Kolacia '16 raced to a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run to lead the Grinnell College men's track and field team at Saturday's Hilltop Invitational.
 
He had a time of 2:00.79. Nathaniel Crail '19 added a fifth-place finish in 2:04.36, Kevin Anderson '18 was sixth in 2:06.65 and Joel Baumann '18 was seventh in 2:06.85.
 
John Lennon '19 took third in the 3000 in 9:21.16, Connor Gregorich-Trevor '18 was fifth in 9:43.59 and Stewart Bass '18 placed sixth in 10:02.75.
 
Adam Dalton '16 and Joshua Jensen '19 were fifth and seventh in the mile in 4:42.20 and 4:43.77, respectively.
 
The 4x400 relay team of Andrew Shults '19, Colton Silvia '17, Jonathan Braun '17 and Ed Hardman '16 was third in 3:39.66.
 
Shults ran the fifth-fastest 60 dash time in program history and James Page '17 had the 10th-best performance in the weight throw.
 
Grinnell was fifth in the team standings with 28 points.
