Grinnell men put in busy day at Central College Dutch Invitational

Results

PELLA, Iowa - Grinnell College's men's track and field team put in a productive day at the Central College Dutch Invitational Saturday, coming up with several big performances.

Grinnell's highest finishers were Ian Clawson '26 in the hammer throw (50.96 meters) and Sam Beck '27 in the 5000-meter run (15 minutes, 57.08 seconds). Each took ninth in their respective events.

Placing 10th were James Snyder '26 in the 3000 (9:23.17), Jake Bell '27 in the discus (46.83 meters) and Linus O'Brien in the 400 (49.98). In the 3000 steeplechase, Max Jedlicka '28 and Jack Ellwein '28 were 11th and 13th, respectively, with times of 11:32.25 and 12:36.79.

Taking 13th were Connor Heagy '26 in the 1500 (4:11.45), Cayden Smith '29 in the 5000 (16:11.60), Murphy Dykstra '27 in the triple jump (12.53 meters) and the 4x100 relay team of Jake Warren '28, David Eisenberg '29, Quentin Kelley '29 and Clay Glessner '28 (44.21). Andy Chestovich '26 was 14th in the 800 in 2:00.81.
