MONMOUTH, Ill. – Grinnell College's football team battled unbeaten Monmouth College Saturday, falling by a 63-0 score.
The winners, 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Midwest Conference, led 21-0 after one period and 49-0 at halftime. Grinnell dipped to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the league.
Carson Dunn '18 and
Zach McGriff '17 paced Grinnell's rushing attack with 41 and 40 yards, respectively.
Defensively,
Ryan Slager '19 tallied 12 tackles, forced a fumble and recovered another.
Kent Hoover '17 added seven tackles, while
Joe Galaske '17,
Vinny Pavoni '19 and
DJ Coleman '19 each had five stops.
The Pioneers have a bye next Saturday.
