GRINNELL, Iowa – A strong showing in the distance medley relay and 5000-meter run led the Grinnell College men's track and field team at Saturday's Grinnell Invitational at the Charles Benson Bear '39 Recreation and Athletic Center Field House.
 
Joel Baumann '18, Nathaniel Crail '19, Kevin Anderson '18 and Joshua Jensen '19 were second in the distance medley in 11:08.75, while Adam Dalton '16 was fourth in the 5000 in 15:38.56 and Anthony McLean '17 took sixth in 15:54.37.
 
Nate Kolacia '16 and John Lennon '19 were sixth and seventh, respectively, in the mile run in 4:35.41 and 4:35.87. Ian Malone '18 added a seventh-place finish in the 3000 in 9:57.65.
 
In the 4x200 relay, Andrew Shults '19, Colton Silvia '17, Jonathan Braun '17 and Ed Hardman '16 were seventh in 1:36.27.
 
Grinnell was 12th in the team standings with 14 points.
