Box Score 2 FULTON, Mo. – Grinnell College used solid pitching performances from
Graham Fisher and
Sam Tinkham to defeat Westminster College 2-1in college baseball on Saturday.
Fisher threw six innings, fanning seven in that process, while Tinkham earned the save with a two-hit pitching performance in the final three innings. He struck out four.
Grinnell got one run in the opening inning before Westminster scored in the third. The Pioneers added another run in the seventh.
Anthony Mack,
Matt Hammond and
Sam Galanek all had a hit for Grinnell, with Galanek adding an RBI.
Westminster won the opener 1-0.
Andrew Mack tossed three-hit ball over six innings and fanned 14 batters.
Anthony Mack, Galanek, Fisher and
Niko Takayesu all had hits for Grinnell.
