GALESBURG, Ill. – Grinnell College's men's tennis team wrapped up Midwest Conference play in perfect fashion, and with a perfect record.

The Pioneers blanked Monmouth College and Knox College 9-0 Sunday to finish league play with an 8-0 mark while improving to 16-9 overall. The Pioneers have now won 81 consecutive league matches and 133 consecutive against conference opponents overall.

Going 4-for-4 on the day for Grinnell were
Cole Miller '17 and
Sam Stickels '19, while
Tommy Pitcher '17,
Ben Cobin '20 and
Raghu Inturi '20 won three times.

Grinnell rolled by Monmouth in singles with the lineup of Miller (6-1, 6-3), Stickels (6-3, 7-5), Pitcher (6-1, 6-2),
Zach Lane '19 (6-3, 6-7, 10-6), Cobin (6-0, 6-0) and Inturi (6-1, 6-1).

In doubles, Miller and Pitcher won 8-5 at No. 1, Stickels and Inturi earned an 8-3 victory at No. 2 and
Henry Johnson '20 and Cobin won 8-1 at No. 3.

Grinnell only surrendered two singles games to Knox. Winning by 6-0, 6-0 shutouts were the top four players – Miller, Stickels, Lane and Cobin.
Arlo Detmer '20 and
Peter Sills '19 won 6-0, 6-1.

Inturi and Stickels won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles, while the teams of Miller-Pitcher and Johnson-
Lucas LeDoux '19 won 8-1.
During the day, Pitcher moved up to 10th on Grinnell's career singles wins chart. He now has 68.
