GRINNELL, Iowa - The Grinnell College men's tennis team has won 13 Midwest Conference Tournament titles in a row, and the Pioneers are looking to extend that streak by one Friday.
The Pioneers, who own a 133-match winning streak against league opponents dating back to 2002, open the tourney Friday as the top seed. Grinnell (16-9, 8-0 MWC) will play fourth-seeded Lawrence University (11-9, 5-3 MWC) at 8:30 a.m. in a semifinal match. The winners advance to the title match at 1 p.m., with that winner earning the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
The tournament then shifts to singles and doubles play during the weekend. Grinnell earned six of the nine No. 1 seeds. In singles, top seeds are
Cole Miller '17 at No. 1,
