DE PERE, Wis. - After a rough first half, the Grinnell College women's basketball rebounded to finish strong in Saturday afternoon's 85-38 setback at St. Norbert College.

The Pioneers shot a solid 42.9 percent from the field in the third period, making 6-of-14 shots after going 1-of-20 in the first two periods combined.

Grinnell featured a balanced scoring attack, as four players scored six points each –
Daria Guzzo '19,
Olivia Woolam '21,
Sofia Ahooja '22 and
Aidan Coalson '22. Guzzo also had five rebounds and a block, while Coalson added four boards.
Sasha Thomas '22, who moved into 10th on the Pioneers' season 3-point attempts list with 158, had two steals and two assists while
Tyria Heath '21 contributed a blocked shot.

Grinnell, 6-10 in the Midwest Conference and 8-14 overall, trailed 20-7 after one period and 43-9 at the half. The Pioneers put together a big third quarter, netting 17 points as Guzzo made a pair of baskets, Thomas a 3-pointer and Woolam a trio of free throws. Coalson,
Hanna Kessel '19 and Ahooja all had baskets and
Kate Tomczik '22 a free throw.

St. Norbert, 9-7 in the MWC and 10-13 overall, led 65-26 after three quarters and continued from there for the win.

Grinnell plays its final away game of the 2018-19 campaign Wednesday at Beloit College. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. The Pioneers close out their season at home next Saturday with a Senior Day test against Lake Forest College.
