CHICAGO, Ill. – Grinnell College's football team lost a 58-0 decision at the University of Chicago Saturday afternoon.
The Maroons gained a 13-0 lead after one period on their way to improving to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the Midwest Conference.
Grinnell, 2-5 both overall and in the league, got an 80-yard rushing performance from
Danny Quirk '25.
Garrett Wilson '25 added 10 receiving yards on two catches.
Defensively,
Kevin Johanson '26 led the way with six tackles,
Breck Bishop '26 added five and
Scott Nissen '23,
Luke Walters '26 and
Luke Porter '23 each made four stops. Nissen and
Greyson Blanchard '26 combined for half-a-sack.
Grinnell will celebrate Senior Day next Saturday when Illinois College comes calling. Kickoff at Rosenbloom Field is set for 1 p.m.
