Grinnell women's tennis team coasts to decisive win over William Smith

ORLANDO, Fla. - Grinnell College's women's tennis team flexed its collective muscle Wednesday, as nine Pioneers tasted victory in an 8-1 win over William Smith College at the USTA Campus.

Grinnell, 14-3 on the season, got things off to a great start with a sweep of doubles play. Winning teams were the duos of Sabrina Tang '23-Irene Agusti '24 (8-3), Sophia de los Reyes '23-Mira Manchanda '24 (8-3) and Ioanna Giannakou '24-Kalea Martin '25 (8-0).

The Pioneers finished off the win by taking the Nos. 2 through 6 singles matches. Winners were Manchanda (6-1, 6-1), Giannakou (6-2, 6-4), Lily Perrin '25 (6-1, 6-0), Emma Gaydos '22 (6-2, 6-3) and Utsah Kalra '25 (6-0, 6-0).

Grinnell closes out its spring break trip Friday with a match against Trinity College of Connecticut.
