Grinnell women's tennis team drops spring break finale

ORLANDO, Fla. - Grinnell College's women's tennis team wrapped up a big week in Florida with a 6-3 setback to Trinity College (Conn.) on Friday.

 
The 14-4 Pioneers jumped out to a 2-1 lead through doubles play. Irene Agusti '24 and Sabrina Tang '23 earned an 8-7 decision at the top spot, while Ioanna Giannakou '24 and Erin Jarvis '25 won 8-4 at No. 3.
 
Tang, ranked 12th nationally in singles, got Grinnell's other victory as she posted a 6-1, 6-3 decision at No. 1. That is win No. 20 on the season for Tang, which ranks 13th in program history. Additionally, she has 42 career singles victories which is 17th all-time.
 
Grinnell will compete in the Midwest Invitational next weekend in Madison, Wis.
