Grinnell finishes fall portion of season on resounding note at Golfweek event

SANDESTIN, Fla. - The Grinnell College women's golf team finished the fall portion of its 2023-24 season on a resounding note, matching its Day 1 total with a 306 Tuesday at the 2023 Golfweek October Classic.

That effort gave Grinnell a three-day total of 924, placing 12th in the 24-team event featuring several of the nation's top squads.

Meilin Hoshino '27 carded a 2-over-par 74 on the final day of the event at Baytowne Golf Club, with that total including a birdie. She finished with a score of 223, good for 12th place in the 120-golfer field.

Kavya Keshav '26 had a pair of birdies Tuesday and finished with a 75 for an overall score of 231. Saya Geisendorfer '27 had a birdie and overall score of 78, while Vidushi Keni '26 added a 79. Their overall totals were 243 and 234, respectively.

Sara Meneses '26 rounded out Grinnell's golfers with an 88, including a birdie, for a score of 256.

Pomona-Pitzer won the team title with an 879 and Washington University of St. Louis had the individual champ in Sydney Kuo, who shot 214.
