Harris Dar collects Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Performer of the Week honor

Strong shooting week propels Grinnell first-year to weekly award

GRINNELL, Iowa – After putting his keen eye on display in recent games, Grinnell College's Harris Dar '28 has been named Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Performer of the Week.
 
Dar, a guard from Plano, Texas (Parish Episcopal School), shot 85.7 percent from the field as Grinnell knocked off MWC foes Knox College and Lawrence University. He posted the second-best shooting percentage in program history against Knox, making 9-of-10 shots for a 90 percent success rate. It marked the best shooting percentage for the program in 11 years. Dar followed with a 9-of-11 effort against Lawrence University. For the week, Dar averaged 21.5 points, 3.5 rebound, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
 
It was a clean sweep for Grinnell, as Sara Booher '25 was named MWC Women's Performer of the Week.
