Grinnell track and field teams set for Midwest Conference Indoor Championships

RIPON, Wis. - Grinnell College's track and field teams will look to parlay its success this season into a big performance at the 2024 Midwest Conference Indoor Championships.

The meet, to be contested at Ripon College, begins with field events at 1 p.m. Friday. Running events start at 2:45 p.m. On Saturday, field events commence at 10:30 a.m. and running events at noon.

The Pioneer women own the top seed in the distance medley relay, while Keely Miyamoto '26 and Millie Leonard '26 are second in the 5000-meter run and triple jump, respectively. Seeded fifth are Hannah Roark '26 in the mile, Miyamoto in the 3000, Morgan Karow '26 in the 5000 and the sprint medley relay team.

Grinnell's men boast three top seeds, Lucas Fadden '26 in the 60 and 200 and Luca Fornari '25 in the pole vault. Brian Goodell '24 is second in the 5000, Luke Robinson 26 and Ian Clawson '26 are third in the mile and weight throw and the distance medley relay squad is fourth. Seeded fifth are Bradley Ramsey '24 in the 5000, as is the sprint medley relay team.
