Grinnell women have another strong day at Illinois Wesleyan golf meet

NORMAL, Ill. - Emily Lackershire '27 and Vidushi Keni '26 each had big days to lead Grinnell College's women's golf team to another strong round at the Kathy Niepegen Spring Fling Sunday.

Competing in a loaded field of 21 teams that featured numerous nationally-ranked teams, Lackershire fired a 6-over-par 78 Sunday at Ironwood and Keni had a 79. Lackershire tied for 19th in the field of 114 golfers with a 155, while Keni tied for 23rd at 156.

Grinnell shot a 317 Sunday for a two-day score of 628. That put the Pioneers in sixth place.

Kavya Keshav '26 and Amy Nguyen '26 each had 80s Sunday for scores of 157 and 160, respectively. Sara Meneses '26 added an 87 for an overall total of 174.

Host Illinois Wesleyan University was the winner with a 581 and had the individual champ in Macy Ludwig, who finished at 141.
